Isaiah 25:4
“You have been a refuge for the poor, , a refuge for the needy in his distress,
A shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.”

Dear Friends of Mossy Foot,

This verse reminds me of the impoverished mossy foot widows in Ethiopia and of
God’s provision for them when their church, the community, and the Mossy Foot
Ministry join together in building a house for these widows. Mossy Foot pays for
a builder to oversee the construction, and supplies all of the building materials.
The church and community do the building and make food for the workers to eat.

As our land cruiser pulled up to the end of a trail, men came dancing and singing
down the path to unload and carry the corrugated iron roofing up to the building site.
It is impressing to see the joy of the community when a widow receives a house.

One of the widows I saw was blind and had two young children. Much off the straw
covering the house had blown off exposing the hut to heavy rains that made mud
puddles on the floor of her hut. As we stood outside looking through the gaps in
the walls, our Ethiopian driver stood with tears streaming down his cheeks.

It is such a privilege to share the Gospel with the patients at our 16 clinics. Also,
our clinic workers make house calls between clinic day to check up on the patients
and share from the Bible. You are partners in this important work. Without our donors
this would not be possible.

Thank you so much for partnering with Mossy Foot through your prayers and monthly
contribution of $100.00. Please pray for protection of our staff as they travel and that
we will be able to expand into other areas that have not yet been reached with the
Gospel and treatment.

With much appreciation,
